The Process
The process of applying for a US visa can seem very daunting. It’s time consuming, and the more it drags on, the more expensive it gets. If you make any mistakes, it’s back to square one. And, the longer you wait for working papers, the more your career suffers. That’s why you need us to guide you and smooth over any potential bumps in the road. Let us take the strain: Next Stop LAX can save you time, money, and many, many headaches.
Some of our clients manage to navigate the visa process in just a few weeks. Others take years. Regardless, the Next Stop LAX team is here to support you each step of the way.
Establish eligibility
Your first step is to establish whether or not you are eligible for a visa, and which visa might suit your purposes best. Read up on the different visa types here, and then fill in our eligibility assessment here
Arrange a meeting
The next step is to arrange a meeting, in person, via Skype or phone, with a member of our team who will chat to you about what you need.
Gather Evidence
If we accept you as a client, it will then be time for you to gather the evidence necessary to present your case to immigration. Every case is different, and we will help you pick and choose the evidence that best represents your achievements, as well as making sure that you include copies of all necessary documents.
Present the case
Photocopying? Signatures? Money orders? Union Advisories? We put it all together in the required format and send it to United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS).
Handle Further Requests
Sometimes USCIS need extra documents or further evidence. We take care of those for you.
Approval! What’s Next?
Once your case has been approved by USCIS there are still some hurdles to jump. We guide you through the process of obtaining your visa in your passport at your nearest embassy, and point you in the right direction for important documents such as a Social Security number and driving license once you arrive in the USA.
Three years! What then?
O-1 visas can be approved for up to three years, but if you want to stay in the USA without a break, you should get the ball rolling on re-application at least six months in advance of your expiry date. We keep track of when your current visa expires, remind you in good time, and assist you with filing new paperwork for your renewal.
